Worshipping Surya is seen as a way to attain physical, mental and spiritual well-being, and to attain spiritual enlightenment. Surya is considered the ultimate source of energy, both physically and spiritually. Hindus worship the sun god (Surya) as a symbol of light, wisdom, truth, and the source of all life.
